under the wire, #3
As I just mentioned in my last post, the students in my graduate methods course have a midnight deadline for turning in their weekly reactions. And I told them on the syllabus that I meant it, they had until 11:59:59.999... to send it off, and at the stroke of midnight they would be docked half a point (this was due to my master plan of grading the reaction papers the night before so I'd be all ready for class discussion Tuesday). So now I have this interesting game as midnight approaches where I wonder if one more student is going to turn a reaction in on time. I thought the one that I got at 11:56 was going to be it. But, no, someone came in with a reaction paper that was sent at 11:59, and it got into my inbox at 12:00.
