fun for all ages

So, I remember back when I was in my twenties I would have a crisis and say, "I'm having a midlife crisis" and it was a joke. Now, I've reached the point where I say "I'm having a midlife crisis" and it's a hypothesis.

I'm thinking about buying a Wii. Thoughts?

See wii.com. It's sort of a big thing. Bigger even, I dare say, than Twitter.

We have a wii. I haven't really played it much since we got an Xbox 360 around the same time (let's just say that a certain member of my household who is not me has a game habit). My initial take on the wii was that I wasn't really keen on learning how to use it when I already had cool Xbox games at my disposal. However, if you've not already invested a lot of muscle memory in regular game controllers it'd likely be easier. Make sure you have enough space. We've got it set up now such that there really isn't that much room for standing. Sitting on the couch works ok, but I was having problems with my shoulder bugging me after playing for awhile.

Getting a Wii to resolve a mid-life crisis is much, MUCH cheaper than getting a Porsche. Go for it!

One of my housemates has one, with 4 controllers for proper doubles tennis play. I've only played it once, but it seems fun.
If you don't learn the minimalist motions, you could replace some of your elliptical training with Wii sports.
