Who knows if I'll even ever get to all 50 states in my lifetime? Who knows how much longer I'll even be doing this blog? No matter: last week's train-station cel-phone posts have inspired me to start keeping track of the states from which I've done blog posts. (I've decided the rule is that it counts so long as I write the post there, even if technical issues lead me to hit "publish" from elsewhere.) The links are to the first known post from each state.

Who knows if you'll ever get to Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont? So near.
I was in Maine not long before I started my blog. It was pretty. And, also, the most monosyllabic state I've ever been to.
I think you should post a map with this as well it would be even easier to see the geo biases.
Also, while you're at it, and given that you're an academic geek (if I may:), how about keeping track of academic institutions from which you've blogged? Granted, then it would be harder to have a goal. You can't exactly strive for blogging from every univ or college. Hmmm...
He can blog from every Big Ten university first, since he's been affiliated with Iowa, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Then he can blog from every Ivy League school, starting with Harvard. You see how this goes, right Eszter?
I've taught two summers at Michigan, including having a @umich.edu e-mail address and teaching students who were receiving Michigan credit, so I count myself as having spent time at four Big Ten schools.
Do conferences count?
As places I've blogged, yes. As institutional affiliations, no.
