"Well, apparently you've been right each time that I wasn't listening to you."

Apparently you were listening enough for it to seep into your unconscious so you could use it on other people.
So, does this mean that you actually have two people who have said those exact words to you, or just that only the words stuck, and not the speaker? Either is sort of hilarious.
