(my first experience with the tradition of trying to eat 12 grapes in the first 12 seconds of the new year. i thought it would be harder and hold some risk of my choking and dying. it's easy. plan for next year: bigger, more treacherous grapes.)

If yours is the hand on the left -- no wonder it was easy. There are only 11 grapes there. If that hand is not yours, I hope that poor grape eater has not runined all of 2007 by miscounting.

I also ate black-eyed peas, for good luck. I made Jeff eat some too. And everyone I know in Utah.
