Not so brief, tangentially related lesson:
Check the spelling of a tattoo several times before letting anyone take a needle to your body, especially if you are having it done in a language you don't know so well. Someone once showed me an arm-encompassing ornate tattoo which, he proudly told me, said "to heal the world" in Hebrew. It didn't.
