nominee, jfw award for least convincing display of incredulity ever

From ESPN.com:
...[A]n inquiry continued into an allegedly out-of-control party involving several Vikings players, drunkenness, nudity and visible sexual activity on a pair of charter cruises last week.

[...] The locker room was mostly empty during the time it was open to the media, and all the players who spoke refused to comment on the outing or any of the implications. Running back Mewelde Moore acknowledged he was present on one of the boats, but he said he saw none of the alleged behavior.

"That's crazy. Sex? Come on," said Moore, the team's leading rusher with 187 yards.

Sounds like a confirmation to me. He did say come, didn't he?

I'm embarrassed to admit that I actually saw a clip of this on TV (though apparently not embarrassed enough, since here I am admitting it). Moore looked like a deer in the headlights-- it truly was the least convincing display of incredulity ever. He followed it up with something like "I'm engaged so... uh... uh... none of that [sex] for me! You're trying to get me in trouble here." Bush himself couldn't have said it better. He was so pathetic that I almost felt sorry for him. Guess it doesn't pay to be the last one in a locker room when reporters are hungry for a quote. And, uh, after you've been frollicking on an orgy boat.

this is news? NFL players partying with hookers?

Excuse me, while it has been long known that NFL players commonly socialize with prostitutes, the assertion making news is that NFL players have also had sexual intercourse with them.

Don't forget the related assertion that five Vikings formed a (and I quote) "pee line" and urinated together on the lawn of a woman who lived near where the boat docked. Much to her displeasure. (Apparently they were already drunk before the boat took off.) This also made the TV news, which I will promtly go back to not watching.
