i shot the sherpa

Conversation this evening at Dotty's: What are the 10 jobs for which you would be the most ill-suited? The final lists:

Emily's #9 was borne of her conviction that she would be especially poorly-suited for any job that required a lot of grip strength. Note that she selected this over such seeming winning suggestions as "Cruise Director" and "Debutante Party Planner."

don't you think jeremy would make an awful lifeguard? especially a beach lifeguard. how many people would die on his watch? besides, i doubt the germans would like him well enough...

how come no one cares about the jobs we shouldn't have? if no one else comments, i am going to apply for one of them, and i encourage you to do the same, jeremy.

Come to think about it, the "professor" job description does seem to have some elements of day-care center worker, car salesman, funeral-home director, (not necessarily pain-free) dentist, and umpire.

I think that #5 for both would be the most entertaining to observe. I foresee extensive character development via flashbacks in the JFW film. jlp

When you find the person for whom sherpa WOULD be a well-suited career, please give him/her my name and phone number. Motherhood is killing my back with all of the stuff I have to carry around, and that DOESN'T include the baby!

it isn't called day care anymore.

we call it a child care provider or better yet, an early care and education teacher.
