overheard

"Are you really thinking about getting a dog? You should totally get a dog!"
"What I really want is for them to breed a dog that will only die of neglect if that neglect is ill-intentioned."
"You should totally get a plant! Or, maybe just some photos of plants."

i thought i couldn't handle the responsibility of plants, but i've been doing pretty well. i started of with a cactus and a succulent, added a couple of philodendrons, and now i have 10 plants at home, two in my office, and one down the street.

next week: babies! human babies!

If there was a dog around, Jeremy would have something to feed himself regularly with.

Just because I am rushing around getting my ASA schedule and presentations together, doesn't mean I don't have time to delete stupid inappropriate comments.

In case you don't mind cats, they are more independent than dogs and don't need to be walked.

Just another option ... rabbits are kind of cool too. They can be litter trained just like cats.

More evidence of the shrinking "pet-child" gap.
