thirty-five

At least now I can be President. That's the only positive thing I have to say about it so far.

Update, four minutes later: "thirty-five" seems even older when you type it than when you say it. Ugh.

Wooohoooo! Congrats! If you lived in Hungary the whole country would be celebrating since it's one of the biggest national holidays today. I thought it was important for you to know that. Not.

Enjoy your big day!!

Hippo Birdy to you, Jeremy!
It's all downhill from here, guy. Enjoy while you can because it will soon start slip sliding away. 35 is so far in my rearview mirror I can't even see it anymore.

I'm kidding, of course. Your life is just starting. And my vote is for you. Equipped or not, sane or not, you would make a fine Prez - relatively speaking...

And the sun is shining for you! Have a Happy!

The best thing about being 35 is that you only have to wait 24 months before you get to say, along with Tom Lehrer, "It's sobering to reflect that by the time Mozart was my age, he'd already been dead for two years."

On the other hand, Kant didn't publish the first Critique until he was 57.

my thoughts at the time were, "closer to 40 than 30". my friends felt the need to remind me i was half way to 70. ;-)

That's the only positive thing you have to say? Shame on you. You're healthy, have friends, run marathons. I'm sure I could add to that. I think. Oh, you write SSF. There now. Start gloating.
Happy birthday -- hope your day is superb. I'd write more, but I'm awfully busy.

Happy Birthday! And remember, it's really only mathematicians who do their best work before they're 30.
