I know, I know, I used to be just like you. I didn't believe it before, but now I do. I have some apologizing to do to a certain hypotenuse out there for all my years of skepticism.

Today I will be thinking about everything I learned (or didn't) in those advanced math courses I took 35 years ago.
The pythagorean theorem is also what the Scarecrow says in the Wizard of Oz when he gets a brain, I think.
