i bet you don't miss teaching on that fancy fellowship of yours

Actually, I do miss teaching. Lots, even, sometimes. At least teaching as it was during those halcyon semesters when I was neither prepping a new class nor made afraid for my physical safety by any of my students. Plus, teaching is good for me because it provides structure.

I have said that if I ever manage to teach again, I would hope to finally get to do a seminar, but instead what I would really like to teach would be a leminar, taught with a yellow syllabus and entire citrus-y theme. Students would not just learn but be protected from scurvy at the same time.

I don't understand what you mean.

You should teach again. I liked your class. You know what else I like? The sentence, "Lots, even, sometimes". Because there are oh so many ways to read it. And they all kinda ring true. Like a Mallarme poem. Who is a pretenious fuck? Answer: Shakha

You 'don't understand' because they have disappeared? For a while they were blue-on-blue and hard to read.
Why? Who knows (do you sleepwalk?).

What do you mean by "if I ever manage to teach again"? Are you always buying out of courses? Or are you expecting to switch careers? Topic for future blog post: what else can you see yourself doing? You seem like the perfect academic type. (I'm not suggesting you wouldn't be good at other things though, of course.)
