freakasso's blue period

I decided to change template colors. Out with the red & purple, in with the black & blue. No, one should not infer anything about my mood from this change. In fact, in a fit of enthusiasm from my recent readings on synthetic dyes, I wanted to make the whole thing mauve, but I couldn't get it to look good. Not that the black & blue particularly looks good, I guess. What can I say? I was in a mood.

Let me know what you think. And put a tack in my map if you haven't. I'm only four away from having 100 from ostensibly different persons, at which point I will shut up about it.

Does this mean you're going to change the favicon as well? It seems out-of-sync now.

I liked the red, I associated it with you, but I'm sure I can get used to this especially since blue happens to be my favorite color.. depending on the blue, but this one is nice so it works. Perhaps you should ask your readers in a week or so. By then we should either be annoyed b/c it really doesn't work, or we will have gotten used to it.

Upon loading the new templates, my eyeballs, like, jiggled or something.

(The only way I can think to describe it that it's like when you do that thing where you put your pointer fingers together and move them from side to side in someone's field of vision, and after they follow it with their eyes for a bit you suddenly separate them, and their eyes try to look in the opposite direction at the same time.)

But I like it.

I intended to change my favicon just now, but I can't seem to get it to refresh as changed in my browser. If anyone sees a new favicon for me, let me know and tell me what you think.

the blue is excellent, but your face does look like you ate something disagreeable.

You know, if you need to add a second color, there's yellow out there. Yeah, blue and yellow! (Only don't make your face yellow. From dyspepsia to jaundice...)

Have you regained all the weight you lost last summer?

Yellow is my favorite color, but I don't know how much I would like it with the blue.

I just wondered why not a slendered-down viz to go with your new color scheme (Jeez).

Take that back about not liking yellow with blue. Ocean has feelings. And Monet knew his colors. I mean, the man could paint! A favorite combo of his? Yellow with blue, of course.

too close to maize and blue for that hawkeye, i'm guessing.

It was disturbing to see a change in something so familiar, but thinking rationally about it, I have to say blue is better. It's more solid and permanent. It says: This is real. And now that I've been looking at it long enough to get used to it, I can say, even on an emotional intuitive level, it's better.
